Movies movies
I’ve been watching movies for the past weeks, yay!

He’s Just Not That Into You. I’ve been waiting for this movie since last year! Of course there had to be some reason why I scoured the country (yes, the country) for a copy of the book… until I finally found one in SM Muntinlupa!– That was how desperate I was to read the book last year, or at least that’s was how much I needed some sense to be knocked into me… :P Anyway I was expecting the movie to be a tearjerker, and I even made a schedule to watch it with Bea since this was, after all, our 2008 movie. I didn’t like it that much! It was a hodgepodge of stories and everyone just really had to be connected to each other in some way (hence the six degrees of separation rule applies here)– Jennifer Aniston was with Ben Affleck, who was Bradley Cooper’s friend. Bradley Cooper’s wife was Jennifer Connolly, who worked with Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Aniston. Bradley Cooper had an affair with Scarlett Johansson, who was friends with Drew Barrymore, and was Kevin Connolly’s love interest. Kevin Connolly was roommates with Justin Long, who ended up with Ginnifer Goodwin, while Drew Barrymore ended up with Kevin Connolly. Phew! Small world! Haha. Anyway I didn’t really like it at all and I was expecting much more… I think the movie didn’t really need an all-star cast to catch some attention and in a way the mix of the cast was good but everyone just ended up having minor parts. And though I was able to relate a bit, I wasn’t jumping for joy or crying because it totally applied to me…

You Changed My Life. I won’t be running to the cinemas and lining up for this one, but it’s a feel good movie nonetheless. Sarah Geronimo’s kabaduyan totally made me squint but I was laughing at the same time at how corny it was! Don’t mention how Miggy (John Lloyd) and Laida (Sarah) call each other and how Sarah was just so kilig with everything, ugh! Kinda unbelievable though, the mix of the uber rich bachelor and the ordinary struggling office girl… gives people some false hope in my opinion. Hahaha, mean! Regardless though, this movie was okay. I watched it with Liel and Jen before going to Mark’s party last night to kill time– and it was worth the 175 bucks naman. At least people weren’t gushing too loud in Rockwell or else I would really have felt super baduy, hehe! Oh and Sarah’s hair… like a dead raccoon, yech!
Next movies on the list: Slumdog Millionaire. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I’m currently watching Vicky Cristina Barcelona!
