I stumbled upon this as I was browsing for photography books (weird connection!) through Amazon, and I want, I want, I want one of these! (No this is not a paid blog entry, I just found this product really interesting.)

You just need to fill one end of the ball with ice and salt, then fill the other end with ice cream mix. Shake the ball and in 15 minutes you have your own pint of ice cream!
